Aleksandar Karatosho

My name is Aleksandar and I’m an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Economics, University of Sts Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. I have extensive experience in multiple national and international civic organisations, through which I took part in more than 80 programmes of various kinds and organised numerous events, workshops and projects. In the past, I have been a scholar within the German political think tank Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, a member of the Presidency of the Student Parliament at the University of Sts Cyril and Methodius and secretary to People to People International – PTPI Skopje Community Chapter.
Currently, aside from my role as one of the Young European Ambassadors from the Western Balkans, I’m also a founder and president of the non-profit civic organisation Youth Empowerment Association – YEA, which focuses on developing young people’s capacities in various areas. I’m also the director of the Karatosho Foundation, which is working on active citizenship, environmental protection and cultural heritage. Furthermore, I’m a member of the European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) and the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia.
